SUPPORTED ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

The Supported Engagement Program offers special assistance to individuals in order to overcome particularly difficult barriers and move the participant gradually toward employment.

Individuals are offered enriched case management services and support related to overcoming barriers to employment.  Such barriers may include:  transportation, childcare, housing or GED.  Additional support is offered by the program job developer and job readiness coach.

The primary goal of the Supported Engagement Program is to find and maintain unsubsidized employment for at least 20 hours per week or more and making minimum wage.

Referrals for this program are made through the local county assistance offices.
