TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE

Self-sufficiency Transportation Employment Program is a project of Union - Snyder CAA, a local social service agency that provides many forms of assistance to area residents.  We want to help you achieve your goals and realize that reliable transportation is an important STEP.

 

Who can get help from STEP?

  • You can get help from STEP if you:

  • Are a resident of Union or Snyder County AND

  • Have a child/children under the age of 18 living in the household AND

  • Employed AND

  • Income eligible

 

What can STEP do for me?

  • Provide access to USTA

  • Help with driving lessons

  • Help with the purchase of a car

  • Help with car insurance

  • Help with car repairs

  • Help with barriers towards child care

 

What do I have to do?

  • Pay a co-pay toward your financial assistance

  • Work with STEP staff to set and complete goals that help remove your transportation problems

  • Identify other sources of assistance for transportation problems

  • Demonstrate good work skills

  • Keep a job

  • Comply with other program goals (if you are in other programs)
